MFMCP SUPPORTS BO SANCHEZ’S KERYGMA CONFERENCE

November 16, 2007
Makati City, Philippines
The Mutual Fund Management Company of the Philippines, Inc. (MFMCP), a member of The ATR KimEng Group, has agreed to become a Gold Sponsor of the 2007 Kerygma Conference to be held on November 23-25 at the ULTRA in Pasig City. Organized by “Preacher in Blue Jeans” Bo Sanchez, the Kerygma Conference is a learning event which speaks to the broad Christian community’s spiritual and temporal needs – including practical concerns such as personal savings and investing.
Bo Sanchez said: “On behalf of the Kerygma Conference I wish to thank MFMCP for supporting our drive to reach a wider audience with our message You Have the Power: Be Nourished. Empowered. Unleashed. This year’s Conference addresses persons who suffer hunger, weakness, and imprisonment of the spirit even in the midst of, or perhaps because of, the raging technology revolution. Our topics will include practical tips on rising to life’s challenges; discovering and developing ways to give and share; healing hurts; and replacing destructive habits with life-affirming ones. Of course, the event will also have a heavy dose of fun, with celebrities taking the time to lend inspiration.”
MFMCP President and CEO Phillip F. S. Hagedorn added: “We are pleased to have been invited by Bo Sanchez to join this year’s Kerygma Conference. There is a strong sense of shared values between MFMCP and Bo’s advocacies in that we both dream of empowering average Filipinos to march towards material abundance, even as they help their fellows become similarly empowered. Like Bo, we believe mutual funds are a proven tool for reducing poverty incidence; democratizing the formation of capital; and promoting job creation, economic growth and public welfare. Furthermore, the good news is that mutual funds are affordable to all. It merely takes PHP 5,000 to begin investing in these bread-and-butter investment instruments.”
